Resolution Schmesolution!

So, it was brought to my attention today that I complain alot in my blog. Ummmm, yeah. It clearly states in the title that this is, in fact, a K'vetch (for those of you who don't know yiddish, or haven't bothered to ask me what K'vetch means, it means: Complaint. Yes. This is my complaint!). This is not Naarah's Happy, Shiny. The World is Beautful and Full of Flowers and Butterflies Blog. And it isn't really likely to change over the next year. I know, new year, new life, blah, blah, blah, blah, blabbity blah blah. I am a sarcastic, dig my heels into the ground stubborn, opinionated, socialist, tree-hugging, vegetarian, Ashkanazi kind-of-girl. Deal with it. So, no, the blogs not going to change this year. With any luck, though, it'll get more attention and I'll do a better job at keeping it updated (did I mention that I'm also an absent-minded, easily-distracted, ooooh! look, it's a shiny!, I need to tie everything I own to me with colored yarn, especially keys and the cell phone, otherwise I'll lose it, have half a dozen books started but not finished, kind-of-girl?)

So, folks, as I sit here and listen to some good ole Midwestern Rock, courtesy of John Mellencamp, I shall offer up my New Year's Resolutions:

1) Try to update the blog more often, keeping in mind that each entry doesn't need to be long. Treat blog like a diary, and write often.

2) Get the snarled knot of ideas that is in my head untangled and onto paper (also known as, work on my novel and poems).

3) Shoot lots of pictures!

4) Lose weight without having to give up chocolate... in other words, get my ass off of fhe couch and exercise. I do believe that's what the big black stationary bike in front of the TV is there for.

5) Keep in better touch with friends. Now that the frenzy of the holiday season is over, and as soon as I get rid of this damn broinchitis, I want to see everyone!

6) Eat a banana. I know this one sounds weird, but I really dislike banana's, but I know that they're really good for me, so I figure I'll give them another try. I used to like them as a kid. Who knows, maybe I'll like them again?

7) Submit poetry to Lit Mags for publication.

8) Submit photographs to stock photo agencies and to some magazines.

Yup, that's about it. If there's anything else, it's personal and none of your business!

I've attached a few new pictures of the ferrets below for your viewing.

Also, I thought I'd let everyone know that I got an e-mail from Katie and her and Michael and Honey are all doing well in Israel.
